Our last big project from the summer wrapped up just before the weather turned. Our clients now have a new landscape that they can put their own stamp on. We removed all of the existing plant material from the backyard, while keeping some select plants in the front. With such a big property to work with we tried to keep the planting fairly minimal to allow our clients the option of expanding the plant scheme over the years. The center piece plants are five large ornamental Japanese maples in the front and backyard. Various perennials were planted throughout to add great color throughout the summer and the ability to divide and fill in other planting areas as they get bigger. An added bonus was a large dry river bed in the back native area that was created using all of the cobble excavated during the installation of the irrigation system. A full lighting system was installed for the front and backyard trees as well as path lights for the front entry. The old back patio and front walkway were removed and new stamped concrete was installed. To finish the project over 3500 square feet of turf area was hydro-seeded. By spring we should have some great updated photos of the lawn and plants.
